My husband and I formed an LLC and are planning to lease our second home to renters with the LLC being the name of the landlord in the lease agreetment. The mortgage company will not allow us to do a quit claim deed and transfer the home to the LLC, even if we remain the guarantors.

My husband and I recently bought a home in South Carolina. The bank had not yet received a rental verification form back from our previous landloard in Florida. But they went ahead and approved us for the loan anyway. The closing was April 25th and we’ve been in the home since then. Well a week ago, the bank starting emailing us needing to get that form back from the landlord. I’ve been trying to contact her but she hasn’t returned any of my phone calls. First the bank told us that if we didn’t get it back, the processor of the loan was going to get in trouble for approving us. Now they are saying if we don’t get it back ASAP that they are going to suspend our loan. Can they do that??? If the document was of that much importance, why didn’t they just reschedule our closing date until they got it?! Any help is much appreicated!!
